Laundry Detergent Question.?

I purchased a bottle of laundry detergent this morning and I noticed on the bottle it said made for H.E machines. High efficiency I am assuming. I have a good old fashioned top loading washing machine. Do I need to use more, less or the same amount of the detergent to get my clothes nice and clean. I would take it back and buy what I meant to pick up, but I have already used it.

you can use the same amount, the main difference in HE and regular detergent is the HE is a low sudsing formula…so it doesn’t go all over the room. it will not harm your old fashioned maching…

imagine putting dishsoap in the dishwasher instead of dishwashing detergent…and you get suds coming out all over the floor and bubbles everywhere! Yikes!
