Canon XSI VS XTI,$100 more,which one should I go for?
I recently found a store that has brand new XTI (body only) on sale,which is $450,the XSI is not on sale which is $550,considering there is not too much different between both,is the XSI worthy for the extra 100 bucks?or should i go for the XTI?
I own an XTi. If it were me, I personally would spend the extra $100 but to be honest you are right the differences are not that significant. It just so happens that for how I take photos and what I like to shoot, there are a couple features on teh XSi that I sort of wish I had. In particular, I would like the spot metering function. Live View would be nice as well (on the XSi but not XTi). The bigger slightly bigger LCD would also be a benefit but it is not higher resolution so not a big deal. The extra MegaPixels are really no big deal.
If you are just a beginning photographer though (as I was really when I bought my XTi) I really don’t think you will miss these features, and I think you would be well off spending the extra $100 on a better lens.
